FarnboroughSevere leaks on a new house, cured
In August 2026 a GU14 customer had just bought a house with severe leaks in the roof. Shane and his team put them at ease, went through everything thoroughly and installed a new flat roof system. Their verdict: work is top tier.
Shane has also posted a finished new roof in Farnborough, re-tiled in red interlocking tiles. The photos on this page are from that job.

Flat roofs in Farnborough, rebuilt to stop the leak for good
That GU14 job shows what a properly built flat roof does: severe leaks on a newly bought house, cured with a new flat roof system the customer rates top tier.
A new McDermott flat roof starts with the deck. The old covering comes off, soft or rotten boards are replaced with new 18mm OSB and the falls are corrected so water runs off instead of sitting. Then the system goes on: 3-layer torch-on felt, carried over upstands and parapets with a proper drip edge, or a one-piece GRP fibreglass roof with no joints to fail. Torch-on roofs carry Shane's 15-year guarantee, as stated in his posts.
Bought a house and the survey flagged the flat roof? Shane checks it, shows you the photos and tells you straight whether it needs a repair or a new roof.
- Old covering stripped, deck checked
- New 18mm OSB where the boards are soft
- Falls corrected so water runs off
- 15-year guarantee on 3-layer torch-on
Leaks and roof repairs across GU14
Not every leak needs a new roof. Shane traces the water from the loft and the roof, finds the cracked tile, failed ridge, split valley or lifted flashing and quotes for that. Next door in Ash, GU12, a customer with a leaking roof wrote that he prioritised his workload so they were not left another day worrying.
If water is coming in now, ring 07858 459 392. Shane runs a 24 hour call-out and makes the roof watertight first, then books the proper repair.
Thank you Shane.
I literally can't thank Shane enough for quickly coming to the rescue over my leaking roof. He was absolutely brilliant and I mean BRILLIANT. Polite, reasonable, reliable, tidy and priotised his workload to make sure I wasn't left another day worrying. Shane is a sincere and honest (very rare) workman and I am very grateful for how quickly he was able to fix the problem. Thank you Shane.

New roof, 1920s house
Shane was quick to respond and came round , gave an honest estimate for the work. His guys did the work on schedule and completed everything as described. There was no issues and Shane didn’t let us down…quite rare these days that people actually do what they say they will and don’t screw you over! He really does care that you’re looked after. So a very positive experience and would recommend him to anyone looking for a new roof.
