Shane McDermott
Shane has over 10 years in roofing. He set up McDermott Home Improvements to do roofing the way he would want it done on his own house: find what is actually wrong, explain it, fix it properly and leave the place tidy.
He answers his own phone, comes out to quote himself and is on site with the team. If anything comes up after a job, customers ring him, and the reviews say he picks up.

What customers say about Shane
Outstanding Service from Shane at McDermott Home Improvements
Shane did a fantastic job replacing the tiles on our roof. He went above and beyond throughout the entire process, even coming out in the evening on his birthday to help resolve a very tricky situation. Most builders would have walked away, but Shane handled everything calmly, professionally, and with real commitment. His team were punctual, respectful, and completed the work exactly within the agreed timeframe. Truly exceptional service and highly recommended.
1st class service
Following a storm last week, I noticed a leak coming in to the kitchen ceiling via the first floor roof. Shane contacted me and came round within an hour of the call, it was clear the roof was rooting and needed reinforcing immediately, before I even agreed to using Shane and McDermott homes, he did a temporary fix there and then, just to help me out at no charge. He was extremely professional and explained everything throughly, he was completely transparent during his visit. He followed up with a really reasonable quote, 2 days later the job was done. Great job, highly recommend.
Valley repair
I contacted Shane after a heavy leak in our guest room appeared over night , after two initial quotes the same day advising substantial work being carried out at a huge cost ! Shane and he’s team quickly discovered the issue with our valley within a day they had the problem solved at a fraction of what we had been quoted prior . 10 out of 10 service very professional and trustworthy and no issues since !! Thankful for now having a roofer we can trust for any issues in the future … thanks again guys !!!
